Our Story

Mochika celebrates comfort, culture and the beauty of everyday rituals. Coffee that invites you to slow down, savor and feel grounded no matter where you are.

Our beans come from our family farms in the mountains of northern Nicaragua where we've grown coffee for generations. Those roots shape our sense of flavor, connections and the slow rituals that make every cup meaningful.

We source high-quality Nicaraguan coffee and roast it with care so every cup feels intentional. No fuss. Just flavor that wakes you up gently and stays with you long after the last sip.

Our Farms

Four generations of our family have grown coffee in the mountains of northern Nicaragua since the 1930s. In 1991, that work took root as two farms: Finca Las Hortensias and Finca Bethania, sitting between 1,200 and 1,500 meters in the Dipilto and Macuelizo mountains, some of the highest coffee-growing elevations in the country, right on the border with Honduras.

My mom and aunts, Ana and Martha, manage these farms the same way our family always has, every decision on varietal, processing, and harvest timing made by family, not a broker. Coffee is picked by hand each December through March, processed at Finca Bethania's own wet mill, and dried at our family's mill in Mozonte.

Our Mission

Our mission is to make exceptional coffee accessible, memorable and warm. We believe coffee should elevate your day without complicating it. We believe hospitality is an art and every detail matters.

We are committed to delivering a cup that feels thoughtful while honoring the people and places that make it possible.
